The Creator in Residence program is On Island Time's most immersive creative partnership. Designed for photographers, videographers, writers and multi-platform creators with an established body of work, this program offers dedicated time on the island to produce something truly remarkable. This is not a press trip. This is a residency — with the time, space and support to do your best creative work in one of Australia's most extraordinary natural environments.

how the program works

1. Application & Selection

We review all applications personally and select creators whose work, audience and creative vision align with the On Island Time brand. We are looking for authenticity, quality and a genuine connection to place.

2. Your Residency

Successful applicants receive a dedicated stay on Flinders Island — duration and property to be discussed based on your creative brief. You will have full access to the island's experiences, landscapes and local community, with support from the On Island Time team throughout.

3. Your Creative Brief

We work with each creator to develop a brief that suits both your creative vision and our brand needs. We are not prescriptive — we trust the right creators to find their own way into the island's story.

4. Content Delivery

At the end of your residency, we ask for an agreed package of content for use across the On Island Time website, social channels and marketing materials. Specific deliverables are agreed in advance and outlined in your partnership agreement.
