Every now and then, an opportunity comes along that’s so rare, so special, that it feels almost impossible to put a price tag on it. This December, we’re offering just that — a chance for you and three friends to experience Flinders Island in the Bass Strait like never before.
From Friday 5 – Monday 8 December 2025, six of the island’s most passionate locals — a chef, barman, crayfisherman, food stylist, farmer, and host — will come together to create a weekend designed entirely around you. Think of it as an island feast, an adventure, and a celebration all rolled into one.
What’s Included
Your weekend begins in Essendon, where Sharp Airlines will fly you and your friends directly to Flinders Island. On arrival, you’ll roll into The Crayshack — the ultimate beachside shack, perched right on the water. From there, you’ll be in the hands of your six hosts, who know this island better than anyone.

Join Grimmy & Tom on the boat, diving for crays and abalone straight from the source
Kick off your shoes for a barefoot beach cook-up at one of the most spectacular beaches in the world
Indulge in feasts curated and cooked by Jo Barrett & Jane Grylls — meals that tell the story of this island through every bite
Sip cocktails and coldies mixed by Dave Osgood, whose Yeti eskys will never run dry
With more hosts than guests, you’ll be looked after at every turn. It’s luxury in its truest sense — not five stars, but a million of them overhead.
Why We’re Doing It
This weekend is about more than food, drink, and adventure. It’s about community. It’s about coming together for our best mate Pip. Pip is facing a full disc replacement and a long road of recovery, and every dollar raised from this once-in-a-lifetime weekend will go to support Pip’s Plate.
