Outscape, a new premium hosted experience on Flinders Island, begins its staged opening with a community launch in August 2026, soft-launch journeys in September, and public bookings available from 2 October 2026. After six weeks on the Supernature Cleanse — no alcohol, sugar, gluten, coffee or red meat — we’ve come out clearer, lighter and more connected to the rhythms of Flinders Island. Guided by Nikki’s personalised programme, built from blood analysis and wholefood cooking, this reset taught us how to nourish ourselves properly and live with more intention. It’s a wellness journey we’ll repeat every year, and one that’s now shaping how we host our guests with fresh, handmade, wholefood meals that genuinely support the body.

Flinders Island’s own Jane Grylls is a chef, food stylist and recipe writer who believes good food should nourish and inspire. Whether she’s styling a feast, creating something delicious for a Park Run Pop-Up, or exploring Killiecrankie Bay by boat, Jane brings creativity and calm to everything she does. In 2026, she’ll also join Outscape as a host and guide - sharing her passion for island life, local produce and wellness-focused food with visitors from near and far.

We’re thrilled to welcome our great friends Darren Purchese and Cath Claringbold to Flinders Island for a special Southern Ocean Bakehouse Pop-Up Bake Sale at The Larder, Flinders Wharf on Saturday 15 November. Joined by our own Jane Grylls, they’ll be serving up a menu of sweet and savoury island bakes made with beautiful local produce - from honey custard canelés to Furneaux scallop pithiviers. Darren and Cath will also be leaving behind a few Larder-exclusive recipes that we’ll continue through the summer. A delicious morning celebrating friendship, creativity, and island flavour.

We’re looking for a full-time Farm Hand to join Quoin Farm on Flinders Island, Tasmania — a family-run property with 1,200 Angus breeders. This is a minimum two-year role with on-farm housing, good pay, and the chance to be part of a welcoming island community with a great school, local sports, and plenty of activities. Opening May 2026, the newly renovated Wharf Accommodation in Whitemark is purpose-built for groups of up to 12. With six ensuite rooms (all king-split, two with baths), generous shared spaces, a dining room with commercial kitchen, sitting room and larder shop, plus outdoor extras like a sauna, firepit, landscaped garden, and beach access for cold plunges. The Wharf is the perfect island base for a group escape.

Outscape, emerging from 12 years of tourism expertise on Flinders Island and featuring the new Wharf Apartments, offers a unique blend of mild adventure and indulgence, inviting travelers to experience effortless exploration and refined relaxation. Our mission is to bring you the freshest, highest-quality ingredients sourced directly from local farmers, fishermen, and artisans. All of the meals have been designed so they are super easy to heat and serve, also enabling no wastage, maximum flavours and freshness.

Jane Grylls and Mick Grimshaw are devoted islanders with a shared commitment to preserving the island's natural beauty. They actively promote responsible tourism and foster community engagement. Jane, a skilled home economist and enthusiastic foodie, has dedicated over twenty years to cooking and empowering others with her culinary expertise. Her journey led her to Flinders Island to join Mick in their shared mission.

We have some big news to share with you! After much thought and careful consideration, we’ve decided to embark on a new journey and change the direction of our business. We will be transitioning from a restaurant to a retail shop and accommodation (commencing a renovation very soon, set to open in late 2025).
