A Pause at The Wharf — What’s Next
The Wharf is entering its next chapter.
Over the coming months, we’ll be closing the space as we move into the next stage of construction, focusing on the downstairs area. It’s a big step for us — and one that’s been a long time in the making.
We know The Wharf has quietly become part of the local rhythm. Saturday mornings, coffee after Parkrun, quick catch-ups, something warm to take home. It hasn’t been lost on us how much this place has been used and enjoyed, and that’s something we’re really grateful for.
This next phase is about building out what comes next.
We’re planning to launch our new accommodation to the community in August, alongside reopening the Larder shop and bringing Saturday mornings back. Parkrun will continue to be part of that rhythm, and we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back into the space in a way that feels even more considered and complete.
When we reopen, we’re also planning to have the downstairs space and Larder shop open during the week — creating something that works not just for visitors, but for locals as well.
There’s a lot happening behind the scenes to bring this together, and we’re lucky to be doing it with the support of a strong crew around us. A big thank you to the community, our Parkrun crew, Jane Grylls, Karli Lyle, Toni Woods, Jhay Hansen and the team at Bass Strait Builders, and our own team who have carried this through.
This isn’t a closing — it’s a pause while we build something better.
We’ll share updates along the way as things take shape.
Thanks for being part of it.
